A little over a month ago, as I eagerly browsed the photo archives on style.com, I fell in love with Cushnie et Ochs S/S11 line.  What I did not know, on that first day of NYFW, was how representative it would be of the collections to follow.  Yellow would be everywhere, bright colours would abound, silhouettes would be referential of the '60s, and the beauty of sheer simplicity would not be lost on the American designers.  Above is the long-awaited sequel to my first NY S/S11 Highlight Reel, a few of my favorite collections from the many that graced the catwalks at Lincoln Center.

Fishtail How-To

As someone who loves fishtail braids, but always assumed they were impossibly complicated, I had to share this cute little how-to by Munich + Jeff favorite Emily over at Cupcakes and Cashmere.  Turns out, the fishtail is surprisingly manageable.....even for the hair-styling challenged like myself :S

Nuit Blanche '11

Well it's happened, I'm officially a Torontonian.  Which amongst other things has meant that I have been without the internet for an entire week (and dying, obviously), so posts that I was in the middle of have been temporarily abandoned, and coverage of last weekend's Nuit Blanche has had to wait until...now.  As a former Art History major spending her first Nuit Blanche in the big city and living squarely in the middle of Zone A, you might expect that I was bright-eyed and eager to hit the streets for the all-night art affair, but you would suspect wrong.  A full day of moving from one city to the next left this girl ready to call it a day at the uncharacteristically early hour of 9:00 pm.  Thank goodness for photographs.
